Hey guys! So a couple weeks back I mentioned I intended to post a movie review of The Fifth Wave, so here it is! It's funny, because for about 3 weeks straight every time I made plans to go see this, it snowed. Seriously, every time. But I did eventually go and it was worth the wait. Being a huge fan of the book, I was expecting a lot from this movie. In my head I pictured the characters to be a certain way, and for the most part they were pretty spot on. They mainly focused on Cassie's journey, and only touched on Ben and his group, especially Ringer, but it was hinted at that they'll touch on it more in the (hopefully) next movie. Overall, I was really happy I saw it, and I hope you enjoyed :) bye!

This show is something I've heard talk about for a while now, but never gave a second thought to. But boy was I missing out. This show really hooks you in and makes you attached to the characters. It has a pretty witty type funny script, and all the singers and performers on it are amazing. Basically, the show is about a high school Glee Club (group organized to sing songs and compete against other glee clubs) and all the members in it. There's Rachel, who loves the spotlight and has the best female voice and is the most enthusiastic about singing; Finn, the jock who turns out to be an amazing singer; Will Scheuster the director who loves his job; Sue Silvestor, the mean spirited cheerleading coach who's always out to take Glee Club down; Emma Pillsbury the sweet guidance counselor with a germ problem; Kurt, my personal favorite, the fashionable gay guy in the club who is so funny and always has perfect timing with sarcastic comments; and countless others who make the show amazing, funny, entertaining, and captivating. I hope you go give it a chance! Hey guys! So I have a new show obsession, and it's the Vampire Diaries. If you're interested in shows I like like Once Upon A Time, Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars etc. I think you would really enjoy it! It's about a girl named Elena who's parents recently passed away and she's just trying to be normal again when the new guy named Stephen intrigues her. It turns out Stephen is a vampire, which makes things a lot more complicated. The show is about how they manage to be together and all the supernatural stuff they face. Hope you guys watch it and love it! Hey guys! I recently saw this movie and thought I should post a review before it goes out of theaters, so here's a little bonus post for the week, and to make up for last week :) I recently saw this movie with my friend, and I think it was the most exciting movie of the series. There were a couple of jump scares, but I think that made it all the more exciting. I also cried, and this movie played with a lot of emotions. I don't want to give anything away, but the ending for me was bittersweet. It's the end of the most recent craze, and I'm say that. But even if you haven't read the books, I highly recommend you go see this. It's a great finale. Also, for all you book readers out there, it stayed pretty well with the plot of the book. Obviously little details are going to be left out, but overall they did a really good job on it. Definitely go see it! :) hope you enjoyed Pretty. Little. Liars. This is a show that many people have only heard about from obsessed teenage girls. I thought it was stupid, until I watched the first 10 minutes and got hooked in. Now I myself am one of those obsessed teenage girls who raves about it to all her friends. Oh the irony. Well I'm here to tell you that this show is not about stupid, petty girls who lie about trivial stuff. The plot is really gripping, and the subplots with each of the girls' love and home lives are heart breaking and heart touching. Let me give you the basics; Four high school friends (from left to right in the picture above) Emily, Hanna, Aria, & Spencer are trying to solve two mysteries. One of them is who murdered their ringleader and friend Alison last year, with kind of a "who dun it plot"; and the other is them trying to dodge a stalker/blackmailer anonymous person self-titled A who keeps interfering with the girls' lives. At some points they think the two people are connected, but I guess you'll have to watch to find out ;) The slogan is Get Lost : Get Found, and that perfectly describes it. If you've read the book, then this movie won't disappoint you. Nearly everything is spot on, and I quite appreciated that. And if you haven't read the book (by John Green), then this film will have many laugh out loud surprises and tons of adventure! It's not as lovey-dovey as The Fault In Our Stars, but the romance is there. I'd say it's the teen rom-com of the summer. I especially loved the subplots and minor characters; they really brought the movie to life. If you're not familiar with this story, it's about a senior in high school, Q, and his unwavering love for the girl across the street, Margo. She's a mystery to him, and Q, along with his best friends Radar & Ben, Radar's girlfriend Angela, and Margo's best friend Lacey, go on adventures of self discovery and reminisce about their "lasts" of high school. I loved this movie from start to finish, and I highly recommend it! :) I saw this movie last Sunday with my good friend, and we both loved it so much! It's the second film in the Divergent trilogy, and although some parts varied from the book, it was pretty close considering how hard it is to make it as close as possible. All the special effects were amazing, as well as the costumes and acting. I highly recommend it, and even though it's been in theaters for a while now, there's still time to go see it if you want! Although if you're not obsessed with Divergent, it would be fine to watch at home. :) Hiiiiiiii peeps! I went to the movies the other day and saw this! I. Loved. This. So. Much. I'm a self-proclaimed Disney fanatic, so seeing this classic film come to life was beautiful. First off, the costumes were 100% the most beautiful costumes I think I've ever seen in a movie. Her ball dress was amazing. My friend & I were talking about how they must have made it so pretty, and we think they took layer upon layer of tulle and made the skirt of the dress. It flowed beautifully when she danced with the prince, and had so much more movement compared to everyone else's at the ball. We assume they simply used hoop skirts to create their poofiness. The storyline was basically the same, except they really went into a lot more detail with Ella's past with both her parents. One thing I'd like to point out was that they made Ella very much of a pushover. It was a fine line of kindness and being taken advantage of with her relationship between her and her stepmother and stepsisters. In the end, she learned to stand up for herself though, which I liked. Also, they showed a lot more how the prince was feeling throughout all of it. All the actors really portrayed their parts really well, and I recommend you see this if you're a die hard fan of Cinderella and the Disney princesses in general. *********** THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHOW. READ BELOW TO SEE WHY. ********************* Once Upon A Time, there was a girl named Emma who stumbled upon a secretly magic town titled Storybrooke. That sounds like quite the bouncy happy go lucky show in which no teen would ever watch. But I haven't told you everything. Once Upon A Time (Or OUAT as we oncers abbreviate) is not your ordinary drama, nor mystery or fairytale blend. Let me (if you're still reading right now) enhance the partially interesting story of my relationship with the show, because it literally means so much to me. From the time I started watching it about 7 months ago, it has taken up a big portion of my attention. I happened to start watching it smack dab in the middle of the winter hiatus, the break between season 3a and 3b. The first few episodes I really enjoyed, but then around the 4th one, I stopped watching it for about a week and a half. I'm not sure why, but I do that sometimes with things. It's almost like I have an awareness of knowing this "thing" will be some sort of obsession, in which one should be cautious, because I seem to have the issue of tearing through a book or show much to quickly in a way that really can't be controlled, but leaving behind a hole in my heart once finished. Any who, once I finally decided to continue the show, I did exactly that; rip through it. I even managed to convince two of my friends to watch it too, who now are both equally obsessed. Season 3 ended, and we all patiently waited for season 4 in the fall. It came, I had heart attacks every Sunday night when it aired. Now we're about to go into the winter hiatus yet again, and I'm still totally absorbed by this show. I think that says a lot. I recommend it to anyone, no matter what you enjoy watching, because it's such a diverse show. Hope you enjoy! Talk to you soon, Julia Little Rant- By now you've all probably all seen this movie, but for those who haven't, I'll gladly clue you in: IT WAS SOOOO AMAZING. You know those times when the caps lock button isn't a powerful enough lever for your emotions? Well, that was what my friend and I were like during and after seeing it. In all honesty I had hopes for the movie because I had read the book and Shailene Woodley was my favorite actress from when I was 9. She starred in one of my favorite American Girl movies of all time: Felicity An American Girl. So when I heard she was gonna be in TWO movies i was dying to see, Divergent and The Fault In Our Stars, I basically fReaKed oUT. The feeling was like calling first dibs on the future: utterly nonsensically proud. Actual Review- So this movie is about Tris Prior, a 16 year old girl living in a dystopian world. Sound familiar? Well, i can most certainly tell you that it is 100% different and unique from the HUnger Games. Different style, different author, different personalities, and no Katniss braids. Although, the attractiveness of the male leads are both quite strong. Basically, Tris has to choose which community and lifestyle to become apart of, called a faction. Abnegation-Selflessness : Amity-Peace : Erudite-Smarts : Dauntless-Bravery : Candor-Honesty It all spirals from there. |
