Hello! So this show is pretty interesting so far, and I thought I would give a review on it incase anyone has heard of it but just wasn't sure what to make of it. It only has two episodes so far, but I'm really enjoying it! Life Sentence is about this twenty-something girl (played by the beloved Lucy Hale) who has had cancer the past eight years. She beats it, and the show is about her figuring out what to do with the rest of her life. I really liked the idea of the premise of the show, since it's kind of like what would happen after the "fairytale happy ending" at the finale of a cancer drama film. The main character, Stella, is so positive that it's contagious! But I think the funniest part of the show is her support system. I won't give anything away, but her family has some (okay, maybe, like, a lotttt) of drama they've been keeping from her. Honestly this show is a bit of fresh air, because I feel like I either watch really heavy shows like How To Get Away With Murder and Riverdale, or super light shows like Gilmore Girls and That 70's Show. Life Sentence is the perfect balance of both, and I'm really enjoying it! If you were looking for a sign to watch this show, here it is! I would highly recommend this show. :) hope you enjoyed. |

This show has completely got my heart. When I hear the words, "If you're out on the road..." my body instantly relaxes. It's probably a weakness I have to work on. Anyway, for whatever reason, watching the lives of Lorelei and Rory Gilmore have consumed a large chunk of my free time. But I choose my shows wisely! Gilmore Girls is that show that you need in your life but didn't know it. It's warm, funny (the humor is quite refreshing), and totally relatable. You'll fall in love with the characters as if you know them, as well as the town of Stars Hollow. I wish I had been the one to write this show. Anyway, I hope you go check it out, because I'm sure it'll make you happy :) This movie was absolutely incredible and empowering! I realize it came out a while ago, but there was no way I wasn't going to talk about it. I had heard a lot about it, but never got the chance to see it until recently. And oh my gosh, everyone needs to see it. The whole theme of you can accomplish whatever you want to if you work really hard and stay focused totally inspired me. Everything about this film was exceptional: the acting, the costumes (just amazing), the plot, the casting, the characters, everything. I highly recommend this movie. If you were on the fence about seeing it, this is your sign to watch it. Hope you enjoyed :) This movie was awesome! There's just honestly no other way to put it. I've been keeping up with the Marvel movies, and been highly anticipating this one. If you liked the original Spiderman movies, or The Amazing Spiderman, you're going to love this one. It's a fresh take on the story, and the movie does a nice job of incorporating it into the Avengers franchise. Spider-Man: Homecoming was overall a funny and entertaining time. I would highly recommend it! This show has gotten so much hype and attention recently. Before I watched it, I thought the craze was solely based on Cole Sprouse (he plays one of the main characters). But now that I'm a few episodes in, I'm really enjoying it. It's a bit cheesy at times, but honestly what show nowadays isn't. I'm pretty invested in the character's storylines and what happens to them, and overall it's a pretty compelling show. To me, it's like a combination of: Pretty Little Liars, with the whole high school element, and How To Get Away With Murder, with all the flashbacks to the night the kid died (not a spoiler it literally happens one minute into the show). Basically, it's about this kid Jason Blossom who died, and all the characters who went to his high school. You have his twin sister, a new girl from NYC, a goody two-shoes, the quiet, mysterious kid, the boy next door who plays football and writes music, and a band. This show really hooks you, because you want to find out the truth about what happened on July 4th. It's actually based on a comic book series, and overall I would give this show a chance if you're even slightly interested in it. Hey! Remember a while back ago how I did a book review of Everything Everything? And I loved the book? Well, I just saw the movie, and I have mixed feelings about it. The book was so incredibly captivating. It hooked me in and I never wanted to put it down. The movie did an accurate job of portraying the book plot wise, but something was missing. It may have been the score (soundtrack), it may have been the camera angles, but something was off. Visually, it was a very beautiful movie. All the colors popped off the screen and especially the scenes in Hawaii and New York were amazing. And the set department really did their job, because the more Maddy fell in love with Olly, the more color she wore and the more skin she showed. I got all the symbolism in that. And also with the score none (or not many, I can't remember) of the songs had lyrics until the climax of the movie in Hawaii. I get that too. But I guess my expectations were too high or something, because I left the theater slightly disappointed. I still believe if you read the book this movie is worth seeing, but maybe wait until it comes out on OnDemand or Netflix or something. I still really liked it, and I'm not here to bash it whatsoever. But in my opinion, in this case, the book was better than the movie. The Real O'Neals is the type of show where you get so invested in the characters' lives that you forget you're not a member of the family. It's uplifting, light-hearted, and well written. The Real O'Neals never fails to make me laugh, and I've rewatched every episode of Season 1 more times than I'd like to admit. It was actually exactly the show I was searching for. Everything I watch is so intense, and I really needed something less dramatic. The show follows the O'Neals, an Irish Catholic family living in Chicago. There is more to each of them than it appears, and as the show goes on you find out more and more about the characters. The show mainly revolves around Kenny, the middle child, and his coming of age/coming out experiences. I love this show, and I think you will too. Hope you enjoyed :) This movie completely exceeded my expectations times, like, a hundred. It was funnier, more surprising, and heartfelt than I thought it would be. The jokes in this movie would make literally anyone laugh, as I noticed the entire theater was in fits of laughter the whole movie. I think I even cry laughed at one point. The people who created this really did a remarkable job of blending a unique movie idea with super unexpected plot twists. If you were on the fence about this movie because it might be too kiddish or boring, it's definitely worth your time and money. I highly recommend this film, and I hope you enjoyed :) Hey guys! So the hype for Finding Dory has been building up for nearly 2 years now, and I know basically everyone is dying to see it. All that anticipation made me have really high expectations for the movie, and they were certainly met! It was everything you would expect, however with some funny twists I didn't see coming (i.e. Gerald). It was super cute, and I would definitely recommend you see it if you love Disney and if you love Finding Dory. Make sure to stay to the end though through the credits, because there's a cute little bonus scene that kind of alludes to a third movie. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed, and have a great summer! :) Alice Through The Looking Glass was a really enjoyable movie. The costumes were amazing, as well as the acting, plot, and everything else. The thing I liked the most about it was that it tied up a bunch of loose ends that I was confused or curious about in the first movie. It definitely felt like a sequel, but not in a way that made me dislike it. It was the best kind of sequel where it keeps the same style, uncovers information, continues the plot, and meet new characters. I recommend seeing it if you really enjoyed the first one! |
